To keep your French doors looking their best, we advise that you clean them approximately every 2-3 months. This gives homeowners a chance to check for any damage and will inevitably prevent any fungal build-up. Using hot soapy water will remove any contaminants on the doors. After washing, this must be rinsed off with clean water and wiped dry with a clean cloth.
In cases of stubborn dirt, a stronger non-abrasive cleaner such as a bathroom cleaner can be used. Again, this must always be rinsed off thoroughly and wiped dry afterwards.
If you see any signs of fungal growth, you should apply a mixture of one-part household bleach to two parts water. The solution can be left for up to 20 minutes, then rinsed off with clean water to remove all residue and wiped dry.
