Windows, doors, bifold doors, roof lanterns, conservatories and orangeries.

Yes, all our products are made to measure.

The first thing you need to do is find out if you will require planning permission.

If your project is below a certain size, it might be allowed under permitted development. You can contact your local council planning department, or easily find someone local, such as an architect, who can advise you on whether or not you require planning permission, and even handle the whole application process for you, including providing any necessary drawings. More details on planning permission rules in the UK can be found here.

What happens once you have drawings?

Once you have some drawings, you can send them to us and we will provide you with a quote. These drawings don’t have to be professionally done – we often quote from scribbled sketches on crumpled bits of paper! Should the job go ahead, our expert designers will take it from there and, following a short discussion with you to get all the details, we will produce highly detailed 3D CAD drawings. This allows both you and us to visualise and anticipate any specific design or installation challenges so we can find the best solution before the manufacture and installation starts! Once you are happy with the designs, you will need to sign them off and we will start manufacture shortly afterwards.

Finding a builder

We recommend talking to a builder early on in the process. Get in touch and we can recommend building companies near you who can deal with the whole project from initial design consultation, right through to final installation. They can also carry out or advise on other aspects which may be required for your project, such as a new kitchen or any other trades you might need. They will source the necessary products from us.

You may wish to project manage some or all of the build. You can source the products directly from us, then employ a builder and installation trades to carry out the rest. We can also recommend installers for you if required.

We check the details

We will always take care to ensure everything is correctly aligned and in proportion when designing buildings. We can even advise on exact base work dimensions, so all glass sightlines are the same throughout. You will be notified when your job is approaching completion in our workshop to arrange a delivery date.

We mainly use sapele, but we can also offer oak if you want that extra-special finish.

We offer 10 years on the main structure*. Paint finish is 5 years*. All other items, such as ironmongery, locks and glass etc. will have the standard manufacturers’ guarantee. Details here.

*Products must be maintained as per our guidance supplied.

We take a 50% deposit with the order, with the remaining 50% to be paid in full prior to delivery.

We use Teknos water-based paints, which are microporous, allowing the timber to breathe and greatly improving its lifespan. We can match any colour, including Farrow & Ball, Dulux, and RAL etc.

No. We believe it’s important to stick to what we’re good at, and that’s supplying customers with quality products at competitive prices. However, we can recommend builders and installers near you who will be happy to quote these aspects of your project.

We strive to always keep our lead time to 6-8 weeks. We do this by increasing production capacity as and when necessary.

Yes. Timber is the most sustainable material available for the manufacture of glazed products. The carbon used to produce our wood products is typically also less than the carbon that ends up being trapped inside it, this makes it a carbon neutral material. Our manufacturing processes are less energy intensive than most PVCu and metal systems and because we’re working in wood, we recycle all offcuts and waste into pellets that are used for heating. This results in the overall carbon footprint for a timber conservatory,  orangery and glazed products over alternatives is lower by up to 75%.  All the timber we use is sourced from sustainable forests. See our Sustainablity page for more information on choosing hardwood timber for your project.
